September 2008 - When Bollywood star Salman Khan decides to become married, a lavish golden palki or palanquin, decorated with red Swarovski crystals is waiting for his bride. His friend and jewelry designer, Punita Trrikha, has prepared the unique bridal transport and wants to preserve it for Salman.
“Salman bhai is like a brother to me. I have designed jewellery for most of his films and this palki that I have made is also for him. I want that whenever he gets married, his bride should sit in it. This will be my gift to him,” Trrikha explained to an Indian News Service recently.
News Item - New York - Roberto Cavallii will open up his first and second nightclubs in the Fall 2008. Called the Cavalli Club, the first one opened in Dubai. The club' original design included an Italian restaurant, sushi bar, wine bar and of course a lounge. Guests were expected to be able to dance around a suspended platform occupied by DJs and dancers. The floors was designed as black quartz, the walls are designed with Swarovski crystals. The gold-colored glass windows were designed by Roberto Cavalli, of course. The second club opened in Florence, Italy, at the end of 2008. Make sure you wear your Cavalli Sunglasses!
